Kenneth and Peggy Monroe left a $3 million bequest to Westmont hoping the funds would “live on in the life of the college.” To honor the legacy of the former professor, trustee and interim president, 鶹ýӳ has named full-tuition scholarship recipients Monroe Scholars. “These students have a special responsibility to carry on the college’s heritage,” says Provost Shirley Mullen. “The Monroes modeled a love for learning, sacrificed for 鶹ýӳ and believed that their Christian calling extended beyond campus to the community.”
