Office of the Registrar Off-Campus Programs
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» offers faculty-led semester-long off-campus programs. To accommodate a range of needs and interests, programs are offered on a rotating schedule. In addition, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» offers a variety of faculty-led Mayterm and third party summer programs. A complete list of current off-campus programs can be found here.
- A student with a GPA of 2.30 or higher may apply for a Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»-led off-campus program. This will not be considered as a break in residence. Applications must be processed through the Global Education Office.
- Off-campus programs sponsored by a particular department for major credit may set their own minimum GPA requirement providing it is above 2.30.
- Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» financial aid (institutional grants, scholarship and loans) may be used for any semester-long Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» off campus program.
- Tuition for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»-operated off-campus programs is the same as tuition on campus. Additional charges vary by program and are available through the Global Education Office. Students who participate in these programs through Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» are considered to be Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students. Therefore, they retain their standing and class priority for returning enrollment and class selection.
- Courses, units, and grades are posted to the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» transcript and computed into the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» GPA for all work completed while enrolled on an off-campus program.
- Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» reserves the right to limit the number of students participating in off-campus programs each semester.
- Students planning to be off-campus during their Junior year should complete their application for degree before leaving.
- Students should contact the Student Financial Services Office regarding financial arrangements and Housing Office regarding living arrangements.
- If a student's major requires an off campus program run by another program or university, they must ask their academic advisor to submit a written request to ocp@westmont.edu for approval. If a student does not have such a requirement for their major but wishes to attend a non-Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» program through another institution they must apply for a leave of absence from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and attend the program independently. Please contact the Global Education office for more information.
